Rishikul Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College and Hospital is one of the oldest and most prominent government Ayurvedic institutions in India, established in 1919 in the spiritual city of Haridwar. It is formally affiliated with the Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun, and approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The college offers comprehensive education in Ayurvedic medicine, featuring the flagship undergraduate course, B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery), with admission based on the NEET UG entrance exam. It also provides numerous M.D./M.S. (Ayurved) postgraduate specializations, admitting students through the AIAPGET exam.
The campus, spread over approximately 25 acres, houses a well-equipped hospital that acts as a vital training ground. The hospital is notable for being the only government-run Ayurvedic facility in Uttarakhand with round-the-clock emergency services. Facilities include specialized Panchakarma centers, modern diagnostic units, laboratories, a central library, and an herbal garden, blending traditional Ayurvedic principles with modern medical practices.
