The Tibetan Homes School (THS), located in the peaceful Happy Valley suburb of Mussoorie, is a significant co-educational residential-cum-day school. Established in 1962 by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, its primary mission is to provide home-like care, modern education, and cultural preservation for Tibetan refugee children, especially orphans, semi-orphans, and the destitute.

The school is run by the Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF) and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), offering education from Nursery to Class XII in Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams.

THS is dedicated to a holistic education, blending a contemporary academic curriculum with traditional Tibetan language and cultural studies. It provides a supportive environment for over 1,500 students, fostering all-round development through a variety of co-curricular activities like debates, dramatics, sports, and a vocational training center to preserve unique Tibetan arts like Thangka painting.
